Abbey Saddlery Support Canine Charity Volunteers
ABBEY Saddlery well known for their wide range of Bits and equine accessories recently helped the fundraising efforts of a group of canine charity volunteers.
As a leading distributor and wholesaler Abbey was pleased to support animal charity support organisation, the TRPD Pet Craft Project, after they contacted the company to enquire if they could donate webbing to help them make dogs leads that would be sold on to fundraise.
The ?I Need A Home? webbing project was able to provide dog rescues around the country with collars and leads branded ?I Need A Home? to assist them finding new homes for the dogs in their care with Abbey providing the materials.
The volunteer team at TRPD Pet Craft developed the leads and now make them available to canine charities, by donation, sponsorship or at a very low cost, assisting the charities to publicise, and home dogs in their care.
The Pet Craft Project is a non-profit community group with members making dog coats and other merchandise to sell on their internet forum, at dog shows, events, and car boot sales.
They also provide disabled, volunteer members with the means to utilise their abilities through occupational therapy, helping improve good social networks, hobbies and skills for all those involved.
Said Alison Hammett of TRPD: ?When Abbey agreed to provide us with the webbing to have printed for the leads we were delighted. It also helped that I have known the family for more than 30 years from the days when I had my own tack shop.
?When we set up the community group I asked Abbey if they could help and they have been brilliant supplying the webbing for the dog leads which has been a great success.?
Abbey is well-known for its extensive range of British manufactured Bits and distributed products including Fiebing products, Pro-Equine Boots, Moss Aromatherapy and Kold Blue.
